Our client’s red brick house in Holloway, Derbyshire had the benefit of a long thin garden which the living spaces did not take advantages of.
Garden Room Extension, Holloway

We designed a new living room which projected into the garden to address this. The new room is built partly of brick and partly with an exposed oak frame with large sliding glass doors. At the corner of the roof is a log burning stove with an interesting free standing brick chimney.
In addition to the new garden room, the rather cramped existing kitchen has been re-modelled with an extension which takes the form of a large bay window with a glass roof. This relatively small amount of additional space along with the garden room transforms the living, dining and kitchen areas of the house.
