Foresters Lodge, Two Dales
Forester's Lodge is a Grade 2 Listed former Coach House. The building is an interesting example of its kind, symmetrically organised around a central tower. It was converted into living accommodation in the past by others and recently suffered a serious flood. Our client had to move out of the building into rented accommodation whilst the damage was repaired and took this as an opportunity to re-model and extend the building.
We have simplified the window patterns externally to create something which is both more dramatic and more in keeping with its past. We re-worked the interior to create a series of interesting three dimensional interventions. Additional accommodation is being constructed in the form of a new “wing” which is connected to the main house by a glazed link element with a beautifully crafted lead roof.
