Affordable Housing Scheme, Wirksworth
This is a proposal for 8 highly energy efficient houses in The National Park. The design is based on passive solar principles with highly insulated north facing walls and high levels of glazing to the south.

The houses are traditional in form and materials and are deliberately low-key and simple in character. The exception to this is the southern aspect which is highly glazed to create an internal conservatory space which heats the houses.

We are working with local community groups to develop the ideas and to include wildlife areas for Britain’s declining bee population, and a natural pond.
