As well as refurbishing and extending the house, access to a new terrace was created to solve parking problems. The approach to the terrace is a sweeping path flanked by dry stone walls to reflect the long thin terraces that characterise Bolehill. The site posed technical difficulties being in a conservation area and also subject to landslip. The finished design included the re-instatement of hedgerows, a small woodland and a wild flower meadow.
