This tiny outbuilding was on the verge of collapse. It has been made weather tight and altered internally to create a self-contained retreat from the main house on the hillside above.

A curved deck links the building to the garden of the house. This gives views across the valley to Wirksworth as well as creating a pleasurable place to sit. Despite being very small, the space available within the building has been carefully planned to provide everything necessary to achieve a self contained living space including bedspace, a kitchen and living area and a bathroom.
The curved terrace creates outside seating space as well as providing a covered parking space and entrance area at ground floor level.
