This building was originally a toll house to Coalport Bridge in Shropshire, a World Heritage Site and is a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

The building was a virtual ruin and required extremely careful restoration. This meant extensive research into its history and the archaeology of the site.
The original fabric of the building was salvaged wherever possible, even to the extent of fishing bricks out of the river. It is now in use as a private house.
