The garden around which our SureStart children's centre is organised needed a form. Our clients, who were an inspiration to work with, managed to secure a grant for six photovoltaic solar cells. The intention was to use these to power the batteries for an electric minibus.

There was no particular need therefore to mount them on the roof of the building. We saw this as an opportunity to create a focal point for the garden, as well as to help the children think about sustainability - hence the term 'Solar Tree'.
