Completed in 2000, Moot Point is a new house built with simple, passive and sustainable design principles. A north facing elevation is a potential source of heat loss. To avoid this, openings have been kept to a minimum and extra insulation has been added. The south facing elevation is highly glazed to maximize solar gain. The conservatory is used to contribute to the heating, and this is particularly effective in spring and autumn. All rainwater is filtered and recycled through a tank housed underground, and timber is used extensively to keep construction materials in line with the projects aims.

There is more information on the project available in the
Houses section of our website.
